Getting things done today

Yeah, I got some things done today. For some unknown reason, I got up around 8:30 this morning, though I didn’t have to be at work until 1:15... anyway...

I called the Bryce Jordan ticket office at the campus of Penn State, and, somehow, I struck ticket nirvana. 3 Tickets for Ohio State at Penn State on 10/8. Section NA, row 4. This game was sold out for eons! Somehow, the fact that I am mobility impaired (backpain - stairs suck, see previous entries) gave me an edge up and they had a few left. I got 3.

Dibs already taken on the tickets, but back ups may happen. My brother might have to goto a wedding that day, he’s gonna see if he can weasel out.

This does put a cramp into the Blue Jacket’s season opener on 10/7. I could do it, but oh my goodness will I be one tired person come Monday. Jackets until 10:30 or so, sleep, get up butt-crack of dawn to get to State College. Game at 7 pm. Game over around 10:30, find my way back to Philly.

Ugh, anyone in da Burgh willing to put us up if we find our way there? :)

Also, my mom turns 60 this month (don’t worry, she doesn’t use LJ). That age is a big one in Korean society. All of the calendars reset every 60 years at least to itself, I dunno how it is with respect to the Western calendar. So I got reservations at Morimoto in Philadelphia. I’ve heard the food’s good, but good lord it’s expensive. Yeah, I’ll be eating ramen for the next year to afford to pay this one off :)
